Beautiful portrait of the 17th C Lady.
Her blond hair are in ringlets with a veil to the back.
Blue gown with center sapphire brooch surrounded by seed pearls.
Shawl around her shoulder matches the embroidery of her dress.
So charming and in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks and great color.

Interesting combination of the old Dieppe ivory and the Vernis Martin style Marble painting.

A love letter would be written..the ink sprinkled , stamped and then rolled into this tube for discreet delivery.

Beautifully carved center medallion of what looks to be lavender tied with a ribbon and framed with a beaded design. So well done...most probably created in the Dieppe region of France. Known for their fine ivory and special carvers.
Approx. 2 3/4 by 4 1/4 inches . Opens to reveal original pencil and a blue satin and paper accordion file for cards, notes and even cash.
